The Edmonton Elks Flag Football League 

 

Fall 2025

 

This program is ideal for:

• Athletes 5 to 15 years old.
• Athletes desiring a low cost, low commitment, recreational flag football program option.
• Athletes desiring a flag football program at a consistent time and location.
• Athletes desiring a secondary sport program, that will have minimal conflicts with their primary sport of choice.
• Athletes desiring to further develop their technical football skills.
• Athletes desiring to further develop their technical football skills to register for minor football.
• Athletes desiring to experience the sport of football for the first time.

 

Commitment: one (1) hour long session of skill work and gameplay per week on Sundays for a total of seven weeks. Games will be in between 9am and 3pm depending on age group.

Investment: $220. This fee includes:  Game Jersey with EE Logo, Flags, Football Alberta Membership, Football Canada Membership, Accident Insurance, Liability Insurance, Trained Coaches, and Field Rentals.

Program Divisions:

U8 Co-ed, U10 Co-ed, U12 Girls, U12 Boys, U14 Girls, U14 Boys, U16 Girls, U16 Boys.

 

Program Times :

 

Games times will run in-between 9am - 3pm, depending on age group.

Sunday September 7  - Clarke Stadium
Sunday September 14  - Clarke Stadium
Sunday September 21  - Commonwealth Stadium
Sunday September 28  - Commonwealth Stadium
Sunday October 5  - Commonwealth Stadium
Sunday October 19  - Commonwealth Stadium
Sunday October 26  - Commonwealth Stadium

*No programming on the Labor Day or Thanksgiving weekends. Locations on certain dates may change if required.

General Details

• Games times will run in-between 9am - 3pm, depending on age group.
• The only additional equipment required is a good pair of runners or cleats and a water bottle.
• A mouthguard is recommended but not required.
• No experience necessary. This is entry level flag football for players of all genders.
• All age groups will play 5 on 5 Flag Football. 

 

• Session Structure:

  • Warm-up: 5-minutes.
  • Skills Stations: 25-minutes.
  • Game Play: 30-minutes.
